You can try those that specifically states " no experience are welcome to apply". If you have at least a diploma, can try branch officer role as well. If anything lower, i'm afraid u have to apply branch teller role if u dont mind. Those will usually hire some sgps rather than all foreigners. You will have an edge if you can speak fluently in dialect or mother tongue, not just English. Bigger foreign banks usually prefer experienced candidates

There are some openings now and try to apply.

8 years experience in non financial role

I was working in advertising agencies locally before joining the bank 2 years ago. Found the transition smooth and hassle free.

That is the truth. Last year I spent 6 months going for call centre job interview and they werent even interested in hiring me, I am a singaporean btw 25yo f, and most bank call centre is filled with foreigners. Man I tried so hard landing an entry level job but its funny how they ask for experience for a call centre job. Now I am trying for admin contract roles... but this one seems to be "foreigners favourite" as well so it is extremely competitive. I went two UOB bank associate interviews last week and did not hear anything back. So depressing man. :(

Are you still interested in call centre? I can refer you in. I just left UOB call centre. FYI it’s hectic man

I am thinking to make a switch to banking career. Admin position. I have 3 years exp call centre customer service experience. I often find it hard to answer the interviewer's question of why I choose banking career? Like what do I say?

"I want bonuses and AWS"
"I want to tell people I am a banker when I am just working back office"
