If you think he is showboating by carrying 3 teams simultaneously for the hackathon, why don't you try yourself doing it for 4 teams? or even come up with some next level multi disciplinary project?

As for leadership issues, as they say, the mountain can only have one tiger, and definitely it's not up to the DCE to 'step up'. If they wanted the DCE to make leadership decisions then make him the CE already. so currently what you see is the result of the BOG, and not the DCE. The CE is usually selected to be someone the BOG feels they can 'control' and someone too capable may not be ideal for them.

Govtech isn't going to turn into Big Tech simply because the mission and definitely the scale is totally different.

Lol if you see someone signing up for 4 projects then you would know its someone here. Not the best idea. And also for projects, i dont see one that is bottom up successful (ignoring ogp). You need a top down where the director is the one that owns it due to how gvt runs.

DCE may not be the one who okays the PIC, but he is the one who raised it after all. You can say CE and PS being the ones making the decision, but they trusted DCE and his expertise when he proposed it. And for that, he would always be tied to this, regardless of what happens to PIC in the future.

As a prominient private sector hire(and hes not full private with some of his involvement in stat boards and glc), he poisoned the well for potential high level private sector hires with his decisions. I had high expectations when I first heard of him, but unfortunately what happened happens.

Only thing I would agree is GT will never be big tech due to the design, but u can at least be something that is constantly modelled by the rest of world government tech teams

I can understand some other jobs need to post online constantly to generate business & obtain clients like insurance agents, property agents, lawyers, consultants.

But techies are mostly employed by companies to develop products. It's all B2B stuff.

Empty vessels make the most noise.

theres a few depts who like to do Medium and Linkedin posts of trivial things, and they "like" their own posts, just to publicise themselves for their next employer.

maybe our perspectives differ, but i don't see how anyone could judge the indeed episode so prematurely. the PIC guy is ex-indeed, and pure private before he stepped in.

or is there something else that you feel has poisoned the well?

Was referring to DCE. Wasnt aware theres a new director for PIC as I was always under the impression the original director was from Indeed as well. For PIC director due to circumstances it has to be someone from Indeed until PIC is diversified

Is pic supposed to be diversified ??? Didn't gvt tell CNA that they are hired because they are intact?

okay. So putting PIC out of the picture for the moment to avoid confusion, was there anything else specific that the DCE has done to 'poison the well' from your perspective?

So where is PIC supposed to get replacement for resignees now that there's hiring freeze? I dont think they signed a lifelong contract to slave for GT

Unless you're saying that DCE was not the person who started the ex-Indeed mass hiring (60 ppl, and the all different hiring conventions broken), which led to the hiring freeze and mass review of renewal of contract staff (Things which affect people's livelihood).
