stat boards do give better bonuses, so HR might use it to give a slight paycut for monthly base |
So many discussions on CSDP and technical roles.
what about the non-technical roles/divs in CSA? How's the working culture like? Also, for someone with about 10 yrs of working experience, what grade (MX scheme? since CSA is managed by MCI) and the salary range? Does CSA follow the MX pay scheme or they have slightly different payscale? |

You pay them highly but they do not provide any real value in technical expertise |

Don’t say tech, even non-tech roles at CSA. I’ve seen with my own eyes the team lead in the tech side of CSA who places trust in his members, he even say “I’m not as tech so I don’t know that in-depth so let my guys handle” and then he goes on to take care of his team, and many who are on his team like the team culture that he has built. My gripe is with bosses who are disconnected from the ground and think they know it all and the members on the ground are frustrated because they are dealing with the implications of whatever whack decision the boss is making from their ivory tower. Then again as the previous poster said, this is not uncommon at work. Suck thumb Lor, as long as the boss is not narcissistic and irresponsible for their emotions is good. |
Reminded me of a video by Simon Sinek.

Is it difficult to get into CSDP? I have 15 years of working experience but not related to CS and degree in electronics engineering with the lowest class from NUS
|
Don't bother.

My friend just threw his resume and didn’t hear back at all. It’s not a traineeship, it’s a full-time job plus shitload of learning opportunities thrown in. It’s literally a fast pass into cybersecurity so I’d imagine they don’t just allow any Tom dick harry in. No offence to any tom dick or harry here ps |

i have CPSA + CRT, OSCP, OSCE3, and some cloud cert. I am looking to join the pentesting team but heard it is very competitive |
Is anyone selected for interview?
|
Bruh.. are you kidding me? OSC3 and you still apply for CSDP ??
Give others who want to move into cybersecurity a chance man... With your credentials, you can easily find a job that gives you a better salary ... Quote:

But will be hard to prove. If you are the hiring manager, will you hire someone because you are friends? Most managers worth their salt will not. You hire someone so that the person can help the team, if can be friends then that is bonus. |
