There is no right and wrong in investment decisions, just whatever is more comfortable. Afterall emotions triumph facts.
On funds, I do hold a license that allows me access to most investment products but I personally prefer UTs for a myriad of reasons.
On recommendations, thanks for the suggestion but I am more comfortable in giving impromptu suggestions and opinions on the chill side. If I ever wanted to publish/recommend an investment, I could always go back to my work. Which is kind of ironic if you know what I mean
