the oil and gas industry generally pays pretty well...i've slightly more than 1.5 yrs of working experience and is drawing about 75k/yr (bonus and allowance all thrown in). I'll be getting a pay rise in a month's time and will be drawing about 88k/yr for 2011 (roughly, assuming same bonus).

my plan is not to be an engineer for life. I only started as one because i think it will add alot of value when i eventually move into a management role.
