After that they decide to create sub bands within MX11 to create more 'promotions'. The current MX11A and MX11B are just sub cuts of a much wider MX11 band in the past.

Together with the sub division, a new job title Senior Assistant Director was also created, but in terms of actual job, there is no difference between a SAD and AD. As far as the higher ups are concern, MX11A and MX11B are just parking lots for majority of long serving civil servants.

MX10 usually for a deg farmer you will need to at least have long term above average above CEP/performance before you can get there. I would say only ~20% of MX scheme deg grads manage to reach MX10 by retirement. Only ~5% of top performers will eventually promote to MX9 & above level.
