No need for me to be jealous. Been there, done that.

In retirement, I will lead a simple and peaceful life. I don't need a car as my condo is near an MRT station.

I am a contented. Are you?

All I can say, if $48k pa is all you can afford then live accordingly.

Don't blindly follow the guy who can afford to live on $100k or $200k pa. Don't be jealous when you see him driving a new car, stay in 5 star hotel during vacation, fly SQ, etc..
