Peter Seah wasn't any good as a CEO when he ran OUB, but he has a big ego so he may be comparing himself to Piyush Gupta and saying to himself (although few would agree) that he would have been as good. Most people in the local banking circles would hold my opinion. Having said that, at least he knows "something" about banking compared to Koh Boon Hwee, who had an even bigger ego, but was completely ineffective as DBS' Chairman because he was the famous local boy who knew nothing about running a bank.
