Nope I didn't call, I emailed twice. Once was 2 weeks after PT, the other 4 weeks after PT. Both times HR was very kind and informed me that the application was still 'In Process'.
Thereafter I sorta gave up. But HR did give me a 2 calls (2 months after PT) to confirm my particulars (e.g. where I studied in Australia, how long was the duration etc.)

I m kind of in a similar situation as well with a couple of emails informing me that they are still processing
