I always give them a few days to call, if didn't receive any call from the interviewer, I will just move on. The bottomline is not to appear desperate. If private sector, this should be ok. For public sector, they do take some time to respond, partly due to the paper work involved. Calling up is usually not necessary and may be at times, seen as being too persistent.
