yes,a good boss is hard to find but problem is everyone is feeling the same as i felt, most of our ex colleagues who have left are enjoying a better work life balance.
The long term question is really do you want to do sales or go back to admin? If you want to continue sales should stay for at least a few years to gain some exp. before hopping. Consumer or corporate sales of basic financial products are easily portable within banking & finance industry, so with the right exp can easily hop around.

If you think sales is not for you and want to go back to admin work life balance no direct KPI etc., then try not to stay beyond 1-2 years, otherwise get labeled a sales CV.

Also not put down or what, but I think every salesman in the insurance industry is some sort of manager, director, specialist or avp, I wouldn't put too much stock into that sort of thing though I'm sure it's a good gesture from the boss.
