It's kind of an unspoken rule, I believe, that Unisim grads tend to lose out to NUS/ NTU/ SMU grads when it comes to getting job interviews for government jobs.
My question is, since I already have a 'good honours' NUS degree, will I have trouble applying for jobs in my new career area if I study for my second degree at Unisim?
For example: My NUS second upper hons degree is in engineering, but now I study mass comm at Unisim...and I apply for comms jobs in the civil service...got chance to even get interview or not?

You don't need a second degree to switch to Communications ... It's not a field that requires certified skill sets. You may even have more difficulties getting into CS if you are applying with the UniSIM degree.
