My wife and I are in our mid fifties and we have decided to retire next year. We plan to move to Malaysia and need some advice on the best places there to retire. Our children are grown ups and on their own.

If we move to Malaysia, our assets are able to generate passive income of S$4k pm or S$48k pa (RM125k pa). RM125k pa is a big amount of income for an retired couple in Malaysia.

Are there any Malaysian or ex-Malaysian posters in this forum who can advice?

We heard of places like Penang, Malacca and KL (and to avoid JB). Are there any other places we can consider? Places where we can live in a nice house or condo and have access to good healthcare services.
