We upgraded from HDB flat to condo in 2006 at the bottom of the property cycle.

When we retire, we will sell our expensive, luxury condo and downgrade to a cheap one bedroom condo in the OCR. Will use the cash balance plus our cash savings to invest in high dividend yield global blue chips to get passive income. We will get a condo next to an MRT station so we will not need a car. We will also not need to employ a maid as we will cook our own meals and do the housework as part of our physical exercise regime. We will also get about $28k pa from our CPF Life when we retire at 65.
