We sold our landed property last year at its peak price. We bought a few years ago at a very cheap price, after that prices went up so crazily for landed properties. So we decided to sell last year. We made a profit of $1m. We then bought a 4 room HDB flat for $400k, paid in full. Together with our cash savings, we now have $1m which we invest in high quality blue chips to get nice dividends.

We are happy we took the right decision to cash out our landed property, now prices of landed properties are crashing. Now we see so many people trying to sell their landed properties but cannot sell because they don't reduce their prices. These greedy people can wait and wait as they watch prices crashing. We think landed property prices will fall by 30% or more over the next 5 years.

With our perfect timing, we can now retire in 10 years time instead of 20 years.
