There are some things I don't understand about OP's behavior. If he was so heavily in debt, why did he still go ahead to get married, buy an EC and have kids? Wouldn't that compound the debt even more? While it is admirable that OP has worked hard to pay down the debt, there are still things that can be cut in order to save interest that is compounding. You can give up the car. That will save $1k per month already that can be put into paying down.
