Hello! Does anyone knows what the path is like for an A Levels student who didn't do very well for A's and ends up in
NIE (Dip. Ed.) to teach Music?
What I know is:
1) Trainee salary is $1480 monthly (GEO2).
2) Immediately upon graduation, the salary will be $1600 monthly (GEO2.2).
What happens after that? How long does it take for someone to become GEO2A1?
Do teachers with only A Levels qualifications get stuck at low payscales until retirement? How's the career progression like? Any example case studies? (Couldn't find any online)
Also, is it true that the average salary increment is 4% every year (for those graded B)? Does that mean the second year salary increment would be just $64?
Very vexed now. Have to make a decision quickly
