Some things that I've observed over the last decade or so...

- Cohort promotion from GEO2 to 3 doesn't seem to be a norm anymore? Some may be promoted only after 3 years or so?

- The number of years for promotion from GEO3 to 4 and GEO4 to 5 seem to be around 4-8 years each now?

- Salary adjustment cycles also seem to be getting longer and more delayed? From what I recall, it used to be every 3 years? Now it seems to be every 4 years? (exception of COVID, which took 7 years)

- The slowing of promotion rates and lower frequency of adjustments will probably help to stop people from reaching their ceilings too quickly? A quick, rough estimation will show that perhaps most HOTs will reach GEO5 at mid-40s...then maybe reach GEO5 ceiling by 50s...if going to GEO5A, then maybe reach GEO5A ceiling by mid-late 50s?
