The older batch who got the 5 days conversion are from the AAAA batch, and back then, accounting was more prestigious. So with or without the certifications, they are seen as more capable. Now, with the cut-off dropping to BCCB and more exemptions being granted, it already doesn't look good. It feels like a lower barrier to entry. If you scrap the entire exam modules, I don't think the certification will be worth anything. Anyone working in the industry can become a CA just by clocking in the hours.
