Hi
Re: From recruitment agency seconded to statutory board
Recently I applied for a role within a statutory board through a recruitment agency. Then I recieved a call from a recruitment agency that I'm shortlisted for an interview with the statutory board.
The next day after the interview I received a call that I'm being selected by the statutory board. I gave them my details for them to get the necessary approval and clearance which will take 2 weeks.
The job offer from a recruitment agency is as follows:
Role: Assistant Director
Estimated package: $8kplus + AWS + 14 days AL + FCL and no
VB
Contract period: 1 year (subject to approval for renew)
Current package
Role: Senior Manager
Package: $7k + AWS + 2 mths
VB + 14 days AL and FCL
Contract period: 2 years (likely to renew as project is still ongoing)
My question is if the offer for a AD role is worth taking? I consider this a step up and and also a stepping stone to a perm position in a statutory board in future. All in all, the offer from the recruitment agency just match my current package only but it pave the way to join statutory board permanently in future.
