Need some advices and help. I've been unemployed full time for a year as I quit my last job due to mental health and I wanted to change industries. For the past year I've been sending out job applications for positions such as HR and Executive admin. However, I kept getting rejected as the HRs and recruiters told me I didn't have a 'relevant' qualification in HR, even though I've been told (by my friends who work in HR) that the positions don't really require a HR specialised degree. I've even applied for internships to get some experience, but most of them ghosted me and one said that they aren't letting interns do 'full time' work so I won't be able to learn anything much. I've literally applied for all kinds of positions- FT, contract, internship. For the past year I've struggled to get by, by creating an online shop & doing event jobs but don't earn much. It gets demoralising everytime I get rejected as I feel that I can't jump industries at all. Getting a diploma/degree in HR isn't possible for me right now as I'm still paying back my school loans. Need advice from anyone working in HR, what should I do? And is there any other positions I can try that doesn't require a specific degree?
