I agree! Although I was from
NUS, this is the real truth and local uni keep using the ranking to blow their own trumpet.
In any case, back to the original question. do you know if the PHD has gone through accreditation? The reason is that whether you clear your phd or not at the mentioned uni, is highly dependent on your supervisor. not your research capability. some took decade with >10 journal papers to clear the phd. some without journal paper and can get their phd in 4 yrs. this could be the reason why it has not gone through accreditation.
you are better off working. dont waste your time.
