Hello guys, I am currently a direct year 2 uni student from a local polytechnic at
NUS Electrical Engineering. Honestly, I have been skimming through many forums and posts regarding Engineering pay increments not as good and the progression is slow. However, I am currently still able to change my degree to business administration but it will take me 0.5 years or a year to complete. Thus, I feel that the trade-off is quite big as I can save a full year of work and experience or jump into the business industry in the future. However, my grades are quite bad already in the first semester.
Side Note: I do run a side personal training business on the sideline, and I managed to build it up to at least 3-3.5k/month if I work hard. However, the job is not sustainable and I would want a better career for myself and stability as I get older.
Career Prospects: Looking at sales/marketing roles in the tech field so I can learn how to expand my own line of business, and generally because I think the tech field has a bigger remuneration compared to other types of industry.
