He is not from ST so why not? You don't need a degree to become a manager or director. What you need is to know the right people, know how to behave, know what you are doing and need to do and finally deliver results. The degree/diploma/certifications are just tools that communicate you had that training, you still need to prove yourself in the corporate world.
