I locum once before. cannot la. very shag. after work brain fried liao. I earn that 300 bucks I feel like post call. it was a Friday night, I go back entire weekend no energy.

it's not illegal per say once u are full reg. it's just against company guidelines. they can penalise u but they can't revoke ur medical license.
at some point , marginal utility from extra money not worth it.
mo salary 6k, 300 locum pay not bad.
fp 15k, what's 300? my long term sanity more important.
300 dollars is only 3 hrs of work, i.e 1 evening shift. Given ops working hrs of 8-5, and alternative sat, a hardworking Dr who has no family (i.e single) could potentially close to double their income?

This is my calculation based on a 4 week month (i.e 20 weekdays, 8 weekend). Correct me if I am wrong.
- locum on 20 weekdays 3hr evening shift (total will be 6k)
- for the 2 sat you rostered to work in ops in the morning, you locum in the evening (total will be 600 dollars)
- for the remaining 6 weekends days that you are not rostered in ops, (you can do full day locum, assuming you work 8hrs on average) - total will be 4.8k

So total locum income will be 12.4k on top of your usual fp salary? Still quite worth it as almost double leh
