It depends on how frequent is your job hopping. In 5 yrs u switch 5-6 companies, obviously your potential employer will have qns to ask. But then again if you’re talented and have the skillsets they want you think will have issue? Don’t think too much lol. Employer-employee relationship is just transactional.

Anyway to get scholar-like progression, only way is to job hop frequently. So yeah. You can’t be scholar in your studies, you need to be one in your career. If you aren’t capable enough to job hop regularly then too bad lol.

Job hopping doesn’t necessarily net you a higher salary if you don’t have the skillsets to back it up. You will hit a ceiling one.

So once you hit your L10 promotion you should think about whether you should job hop. Because you will get more out of the 2+ yrs of trying to hit L9 with 2 job hop (1st when you got promoted, 2nd during 2 yrs later).
1. More money.
2. Exposed to different culture
3. Network
4. Skills
But obviously staying for L9 is easier. Just wait for time up lol.
