Hey that's a really good question. And the risk of getting stuck in the status quo forever is also real. Not sure what's the definition of "starting", however I'm learning how to code for a few months now and also identifying which niche to go into - or in other words servicing clients from which industry/niche with my software company.

The dilemma here is the opportunity cost. Opportunity cost of losing that few grand annually (higher pay job) vs Opportunity cost of potentially earning more if that side biz takes off. Both options have trade offs, but I am not sure which trade off I should take.
