Hell, oxford merely needs 3 A level at A grades. NUS is TOTALLY comparable academically.
Wanted to add that law in Oxbridge is theory-intensive, or simply put, a philosophy of law course. In the UK, you do not need a LLB to practise law. So, practical skills can be honed on the job and not in your class And given that the lecturers aren't practitioners, they focus on what they are good at - Theories. It is similar to some Justice and Jurisprudence module
