the reality is this: people keep going to big 4 -> resulting in annual GES becoming like ****, easily bottom 20% local uni's GES -> JC students see the GES, who the heck will even wan to to join accountancy -> quality of acc undergraduates getting lower and ACC becoming a dumping ground course

This is already happening on the ground, with accountancy courses in NTU being so lowly ranked that even 70 pointers can go in.

For poly of course diff story cos they follow through from uni and many of them were brainwashed in poly to join big 4 anyway.

But nobody in the right mind from JC would wanna join accountancy anymore and the prestive of the profession is going to the dumps.
