You are valued based on what you are worth and put you into that salary band. I joined from public service to MNC and they straight-up offer me 50% more. Didn't even bother to check my last drawn pay to make that offer. They did made me submit the last drawn pay only as a matter of due diligence after the offer was accepted.
wow thats sick, mind i ask which MNC is it? How do they determine your worth then? coding assessment or past experience have more weightage?
