even if u dont want to go banking at least change job......
there r a lot engineering companies who pay higher than your salary...

if u r in mech can go those big aerospace MNCs ... oil/gas also can go ... shell/exxon/keppel
if u dont have good hons u might want to get a masters to up your chances

otherwise u jus get masters in applied finance or mba to up your chances in finance

alternatively, if u wanna slack a bit u can at least go n apply for some stat boards most of them pay u better than STE ....
