As a former AS insider, fair warning to young ones not to look at a CS career through rose-tinted glasses only. CS work is not easy, you have to constantly fight fires stemming from bad PAP policies. The current PAP have through the India-Singapore Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement a decade ago slowly undone another piece of good work by LKY. Our social and racial cohesion and national identity for sixty years took just a decade to undo. Today a local Singaporean took umbrage at the flood of new citizens from overseas stealing local high-paying jobs whether in medicine, fintech, IT, etc and raising our cost of living in rising property prices.

The irony is not lost that this alleged hero is a local Indian bro so no one should claim him to be racist. He is the hero Singapore needs, but do not deserve.
