In international investment banks (ie barcap), avp is an associate band position. ie

Analyst for all banks are entry level positions
Associate/Avp (barclays) is associate (Deutsche) is associate director (ubs)
VP (b) is associate director (d) is director (u)
Director (b) is director (d) is executive director (u)
MD for all 3 banks is the same
sorry if i sidetrack a bit.

Out of curiosity, how does one becomes an analyst in a bank??? what are the requirements?? and how does one becomes an AVP/ associate???

what's the average age of an analyst (entry level) ??? 24, 23, 22 years old???

Pardon my ignorance.
