Tbh there is not much diff btw DBS, UOB and OCBC. DBS enjoys slightly better brand recognition but that's about it. All 3 suffer from the same eunuch disease. Middle management (mostly AVPs) is bloated and made up of paper pushers. Banking is a sunset industry and is no longer the sexy thing it once was. Many of these middle managers were lucky. They were born in the 60s-80s and rode the banking wave and are now coasting into retirement. And because our local banks don't have a hire and fire culture, the eunuchs get to continue playing their paper-pushing games.
