Living standards increasing, taxes increasing, pay are increasing for most other sectors esp IT and banking. Only thing stagnating or decreasing is doctors salary. The government think that doctors earn enough already and so will not want to increase the compensation rate of doctors for the work they do. They don't know that hourly the doctor makes less than your McDonalds cashier and are doing such high stress job. So yeah you get the point.. Dont be a doctor you prob gonna spend your whole life regretting it. Go into banking, finance, IT. Become a pilot or create your own start up. Prospect in medicine has been declining from God knows how long ago. It's no longer a viable way to make a comfortable living.
Correction la, don't be a doctor in singapore
Other places can pay their doctors decently for each hour worked
They oso dont have 30-40 hour calls, which is tantamount to abuse by the way
Just not singapore
