I have been unemployed since June 2016, its 1 year and 6 months since.
Darkest days of my life...really depressed and demoralised. Its been rejection after rejection, getting hopes up and only to be disappointed again and again...think roller coaster ride with sadness.
Its only last couple of months that I have secured a few interviews at one go....see my last posting on
MOE and I really hope I get this one....on hindsight, I should have stayed in the Civil Service back in 2010...
Those who are in the same boat, please continue to fight on...there is no other way out but to be patient and be kind to yourself. Keep sending out job applications and stay positive...dont coop yourself at home...go for walks, do some temp job to kill time...thats what I did ...I know the feeling of just wanting to be by yourself...I know the feeling of pretending to be happy so as not to affect your loved ones...
