they don't tell u the breakdown but can estimate a bit -- Promotion increment (7%) + Merit Increment (8%-B grade) = 15% increase in pay.

Yes i did NS. My 1st pay was $2.7k (2005) in stat board. Then $3k as mx13 in 2007. U can do the math for the rest :)

I'm 31 so my MX11 is nothing special lah. So many officers who are 3-4 years...

it really depends on the size of the Ministry... if there are 30000 staff in a Ministry, you can't really say it is equivalent (in terms of prestige and political power) to a Ministry or stat board...
