Accounting firms really care about your grades for audit and tax roles. I can only attest for the graduate role, grades shouldn't matter after you have experience.

Don't give up! After graduating for 8 months, part of which includes 2.5 months of active searching, i managed to find a job in an acct company. Definitely harder since I didn't go to NUS/NTU/SMU.
