Unregistered Lol, i am about to say that i have seen this topic many times too, but other people beat me to the post.

It seems to me that TS still has mental damage and keep returning to this point even after a couple of years now. What is worrying is that he does not recall posting any of it at all.

I can see how that would affect his call centre job. He might forget to things the customer had already told him.

I suspect his mind is still damaged, and would advice him to go back to the psychiatrist and try and fully recover before trying to move on.

I AM NOT LYING.

So what jobs can i still go into at my age 34/35?

1. goverment job
2. a lorry crane driver that is much better paid
3. What others do you suggest i cannot think of any

Please be aware that there might be UOB HR browsing this page too. Just FYI, Vietnamese wife does not come cheap also. Please do not judge people by their birth place.

Unregistered Civil service not going to work if the intention is to join on a fresh deg level. Now because of job insecurity many fresh grads are applying for every 1 opening. Even without medical condition it is very difficult for your age and lack of employment experience to get in, plus the medical record it's just wasting time if you ask me.

Of course no harm trying, but since from all the replies so far obviously you are just gunning for whatever that pays higher, I maintain going for similar call centre jobs in banks where you already have exp is the fastest and highest probability of succeeding.

i read that your accident was at Malaysia's North South highway, so im guessing u were treated in a Malaysia hospital.

why would u have to lie? if your entire story is true, get the certificate / letter from the doctor / hospital certifying that u are permanently disabled with almost no chances of recovery.

malaysia may not be as modern n developed as SG, but im the hospital would have kept your patient records n data?

im sure your potential employer would understand the accident was what caused u to be jobless for 4 or 5 years until u made a miraculous recovery...

if u choose to lie, it's even worse. nowadays with the help of modern day technology, HR of any company can check on your past background using software program or even make a simple phonecall to your "previous fake employers".

let's assume you can fully function physically n mentally like a normal human being.

have u tried applying for civil service jobs at careers@gov website? entry lvl degree holder after NS draws $3000. after passing your probation and getting emplaced on perm scheme will add another 500 so that makes it high 3Ks or close to 4K.

u mentioned u were a fulltime n private tutor with lots of experience. ever thought of taking a TOEFL / IELTS / CELTA / DELTA course so that u can teach overseas?
i have friends doing it. the pay is low, but it can definitely get u above 1.8k SGD...

ok, im not promoting banks. but how about joining OCBC as Personal Financial Consultant / Relationship Manager? link below...

dont say i nvr help u. i alr listed a lot of jobs above that can make u earn above 1.8k, which is your current pay.

lastly, not everyone is fated to be married. if u cannot find a compatible SG gf, what makes u think your foreigner wife WONT run away in times of distress / financial instability provided by u?

good luck angusmoo.
sincerely appreciate your helpful and candid post sis/bro. You have been the most helpful out of most replies

I am not sure about the PES Status, since i was a commando and had been discharged (ROD) from the army long before so i have no NS liabilities.

Sincere thanks once again, I hope you have a great life ahead.

My best wishes for your family, health, finance and also you are Thank you

Unregistered Best to look for contract call centre opening with other banks.

Usually can renew and convert to perm after a few years. Move up to team lead/supervisor in the future can make at least 50-60k p.a. by 40 years old which is not bad.

Also no point keep comparing with your peers who are making much more than you, you just end up getting depressed.

i read ur post properly. first half is just abt how good ur in the past, 2nd half is just how little money u r making now. no specific question at all.

ur latest post say nothing except u think the current pay too low and u want a job with more money. nothing wrong with that, but all of us here also want a higher paying job, u ask like never ask.

what advice do u want? how to negotiate for higher salary for the teaching job? how to get back to banking industry? how to explain ur mental condition to interviewers? where to get more leads to do tuition? how to start a business? where to find freelance assignments?
