Resume advice

When applying for a job that emphasizes research and writing skills, should I list down those unpublished dissertation and term paper topics I have written?

The dissertation topic and term paper topics are unrelated to the job and industry I am applying to. So there's a high chance the interviewers won't be interested or simply be amused at the topics for student term papers in university, plus invite some unnecessary questions. Furthermore, they are unpublished works, not some papers in a reputable journal.

But to leave them out and just mention I have written some research papers, the interviewers may still be curious what I wrote to justify that I have good writing skills and research experience.

So should I include them in my resume?
