Are you saying that for the working hours of the same role in a local and in a foreign bank, that in the foreign bank is always 30 minutes longer? |

One thing for sure is that local banks have better bonuses and staff benefits. Foreign banks typically have higher base salaries. |

Unregistered | Noted. If you have been in foreign banks all along, no harm joining a local bank if you want more stability. But the hours are more or less the same. I am from banking as well and has worked in Asian and Foreign Banks as well. Hours are pretty much the same.

Unregistered | Which one has higher salary? My allegiance would be with the one who can pay more. The working hours are similar anyway. 30 min a day is not much difference.

Local Banks vs Foreign Banks I am in a dilemna over to settle down my career at a local or foreign bank. I like working in foreign bank because of the following. 1) more open culture than local bank which tend to be rigid, micromanagement 2) shorter working hours 9 to 6 compared to local bank 9 to 630, extra half an hour everyday can accumulate to many days in a year THe only reason i can think of working in local bank is job stability compared to foreign banks which tend to be insecure. ANy advice on this? |
