My advise to you don't go NTU, what if after 3 years your contract not renewable? How?
What if your new boss dislike you, your contract definitely not renewable!

Unregistered Contract positions are fairly common in the civil service and government affiliated organisations. I believe it's not uncommon for contract positions in the public sector to be renewed, if the performance of the person is satisfactory. Unless the position is tied to a specific grant, such as research grant in the case of universities.

I do agree that you should go for the interview with NTU, fight for a higher salary.
over the years of working. i do have some savings. so i am looking for stability rather than more money. the only thing about ntu is contract. finding jobs is not easy, i was thinking to find a perm one then run.

In singapore, growing old is scary. maybe you are young now and did not have to face such situations.
