If your job has a tendency for overtime, plus you have to take public transport, it will be a double whammy. Reaching home late everyday takes a toll on you eventually over the long run. |

Long commuting will take its toll on you eventually. (both physical and financially ;p) So do consider this carefully. Unless that are many cheaper options/alternatives of bus/mrt. If taking taxis only option, this will surely affect your transport costs in the long run. Consider wisely. |

Blueberry | If far from workplace won't even accept the job. Distance can be a factor that prompts you to think twice. If you do not mind traveling long hours, then ok, otherwise, you will grumble and complain everyday. | |

What is the reasonable Commuting hours in SG? I'm recently offered a job that I'm required to travel all the way from East to around NTU area, so it takes me about 1 h 45 min? I took taxi once and it's $32 for about 45min. Is this worth it? To and fro everyday close to 4 hours... any one care to share your opinions? esp those living far from workplace. |
