She indicated that my internship experiences caught her attention: Career Opportunities: Manager, Airport Passenger Mover system (6383) Requisition ID 6383 - Posted 06/02/2024 - Permanent Job Description Print Preview Apply Save Job Email Job to Friend Return to List You will be required to work as part of a Airport Passenger Movement (APM) Development Project and Operations and Maintenance Team responsible for the replacement of existing signalling & communication systems and additional Skytrain car to its ultimate design capacity , as well as the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the existing APM system. You will also assist to oversee the maintenance works carried out by the maintenance contractors for APM (i.e.,Skytrain) at Changi Airport and to monitor their performances.In addition, you will support Master Planning in the study of system capacity and implementation of future projects. Key Responsibilities: Perform capacity calculations based on system level requirements Evaluate contractor’s submissions to ensure technical alignment Adopt market practices to enhance current capabilities Conduct feasibility studies factoring in potential scenarios to evaluate enhancements to APM Assess trade-offs to system changes based on technical and operational implication Oversee system progress, quality and manufacturing standards leading up to the factory acceptance test Establish Incident / Crisis planning procedures Perform systemic root cause analysis to solve root cause maintenance issues Integrate data insights for potential impact to the operations and maintenance of APM Develop Key Technical Provisions for APM Set strategy for APM capacity calculations on an enterprise level taking in account future changes in the aviation landscape and internal divisional changes (e.g. New airlines, etc.) Set standards for the desired efficiency for the overall systems Determine business case for new APM systems taking into account all enterprise related trade offs Set strategy for crisis management and failure scenarios considering all required trade-offs (with ops, business contingency plans, safety etc.) Develop and Integrate new technology (i.e. predictive maintenance) into existing system to enhance the productivity and efficiencies of operations and maintenance Test bed new APM technology that could potentially change the concept of operations and provide final level of Changi specific technical advisory on APM systems Requirements: Degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering or with At least 5 years of relevant experience in Rail transit Design knowledge and operation Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team. Proficient in Power BI and Power apps ================================================== = I was shocked as I have never considered CAG as a career esp to contribute to APM Skytrain. How much do they pay for Manager? How is the working culture like? If you're headhunted by CAG, is that a good thing? Noticed some ppl apply but no responses. Or is there a catch since this role here is unfilled since Feb 2024? |

not surprising cos all organisations (even government sector) will conduct pre-employment checks before offering the position. but before this process, you need to secure an interview and selected by the hiring department. |

Hi I'm applying for a role with CAG and there is a condition which I need to agree to, namely: "I hereby authorise CAG to perform pre-employment checks for the purpose of the job selection process, which may include contacting any of my previous employers." Does CAG really do this? :/ |
