Thanks for the reply guys. Yeah it is pretty low, much less than my last base salary. It's a software company so I know it's lower than banks, I didn't know this much lower though....I'll be thinking about it....thanks all!

Umm, I think it seems a bit low based on your qualifications.

I know people in the Technology Division of a bank with similar credentials to pulling in >$120k per annum.

But banks will be banks..

AFAIK, an US citizen or green card holder has to pay the net difference between US and Singapore tax rate.

I have been team lead for 8 people in one role and manager for 3 people in another. This salary is significantly less what I earned back in the US, but due to tax implications I may be taking home more. What I'm worried about is my long term career where the trend in my salary is steady not fluctuating.

Hey guys,

I was given an offer of $8K SGP/month for a IT security role for a large software MNC.

Do you think this is a fair offer?

10 years experience
MS in Information Systems (US University)
Ivy league undergrad degree
Possess certs such as CISSP, Cisco, Checkpoint, Microsoft
