Uhm this forum is full of bitter people but I also realised you can’t really ask people on LinkedIn for the answer…..so…congrats on the iron bowl…maybe range 5-6k starting then bonus 2-3 months?

I'm an Information Service Scholar, studying in Oxbridge, the point of the NS completion is that I want to get a rough gauge for my starting package, inclusive of the additional few hundred from completing NS, don't understand why you have to be such an ass about it?

Are you referring to the Intelligence Officer scheme instead? The Intelligence Officer scheme pays that much, that I know for a fact.
As far as I know, there are 3 kinds of IO in gov.

Communications = Information officer
Military = intelligence officer
Police = investigating officer

For communications, salary is pegged to private sector comms jobs, altho slightly higher I think.
