Thank you for the input. For me, its a pay jump, but the product issue is really an issue for me. However, i might just say yes, and go hear things out at the interview. What is the interview process like? And what happens when monthly target isnt hit. do they screw you upside down. |

2.5+ years actually. My supervisor & the business manager change many times, but they keep saying things will be better once you establish yourself, but the products dun have the right features to appeal to clients so the improvement is very marginal every year. Another thing is they will keep psychoing you that they have a long term career & promotion plan out for you, but then after a while I realise they say this to every RM out there as turnover is really high, so its just another marketing slogan. In the end I just gave up because it seems a waste of time, total pay was even lower than my previous job. Now in the manufacturing industry still doing sales, monthly lower but at least total pay is much higher because the products are better & target is realistic so can get ~1 month incentive every quarter and end of year still got another 1 mth aws. |

That is a problem i foresee. My current job makes me deal alot of PAs, EAs, HR Managers, Office Managers etc. I will be very comfortable dealing with them, but what Im doing now is strictly corporate and the product is not consumer/retail stuff. Will be a totally different ball game. Decisions Decisions. I know the pay isnt everything, but the pay jump is very tempting |

My exp is that although technically this job is B2B, you tend to end up selling to a bunch of very low level hr officers. Truth is those hr specialist/directors wont bother to entertain you for such things except for a 3min introduction. So you must be comfortable with doing sales similar to consumer/retail type to uncles & aunties. |

my thoughts exactly. My initial thoughts when i heard "employee banking in SCB", was that it will be hard to compete with the local banks. Discounting the roadshows, will it be a job based mainly in the office or heading out to meet prospects? My current sales job requires me to head out and this is something i enjoy. I cannot sit at the desk the whole day and just do coldcalling. they have telemarketers for that. haha |
