Unregistered | I see, I also put a lower salary for my expected pay, about 5% lower. Main reason being I was desperate and was worried that the interviewers might considered someone who is 'cheaper'. Quite silly of me.

Unregistered | I did, not a smart move. Just put your last drawn and they will ask if they are interested

Unregistered | Just wondering do any of you actually put your expected salary lower than your last drawn salary?

For 95% of the job seekers out there who are not in senior mgt level or holding specialize skill that is rare in SG, my advice is don't do stupid things and just follow instructions to fill in the expected salary. Why do stupid things to lower the probability of you getting a job? Ultimately 95% of the case is you look for job, not the co desperate for you to join. |

If you are in demand, you can don't even bother about talking about your previous salary. Of course HR managers and recruiters will say they need your previous salary before they can choose you for interview. Depends on who is more desperate ultimately. |
