I see, I also put a lower salary for my expected pay, about 5% lower. Main reason being I was desperate and was worried that the interviewers might considered someone who is 'cheaper'. Quite silly of me.

Unregistered For 95% of the job seekers out there who are not in senior mgt level or holding specialize skill that is rare in SG, my advice is don't do stupid things and just follow instructions to fill in the expected salary.

Why do stupid things to lower the probability of you getting a job? Ultimately 95% of the case is you look for job, not the co desperate for you to join.

I'm private sector. Depends. But ultimately it still depends on your experience and suitability for the job. Even if it's blank, if you are good enough, the HR would still call you up for an interview or on the phone try to ask you for your salary level.
