So? By the time you graduate, there's a good chance that they might move out of singapore just like lucasarts did. I would definitely recommend you to withdraw. Just do a general design diploma or choose an entirely different field. It is far too early to specialise in game design, and it is very difficult to do a career switch later on in life with a game design diploma as there are very few transferable skills. It is much, much easier for grads from other diplomas to switch into game design than the other way around (game design grads switching to other fields). |

But from what I heard Digipen has a drop-out rate of 70% and a fail rate of 25%, It's really scary to think as such. As from interview from the drop-outs, they say it was too 'mechanical' and passion eventually dies away from that. I'm really in a dilenma now because with my academic results, I can pretty much go in almost any course or JC I can but however I have a strong passion for making games and have DPA-ed in the course. And I heard Konami has recently set-up a company here no? |
